Honor will be showcasing its Huawei Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro on July 23 and we’re testing the so-called official version of both variants of the range.
According to MySmartPrice presentations, which are almost certainly true to reality, both the Huawei Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro displays are fully displayed, leaving no room for a selfie camera at the front. The rendering confirms what we saw in Honor official teaser.
These new renderings apparently confirm that both variants will have the hidden selfie camera. We also expect both devices to form a glass and metal frame.
Otherwise, the clearest difference between the cameras is the triple camera of the 9X Pro and the configuration with two cameras of the 9X. In addition, Honor can offer these sparkling glass surfaces only for the 9X Pro, as evidenced by this purple color. This looks like the Honor 20 introduced chevron pattern, but has the shape of an “X”.
The Huawei Honor 9X has a 48MP + 2MP camera configuration, and the 9X Pro’s triple camera has a 48MP + 8MP (supposedly wide) + 2MP configuration. In the meantime, we expect the 9X Pro to have a 6.59 inch Full HD screen and the 9X could be a bit smaller, but with the same resolution. Both phones have batteries with 3900 mAh and would be operated with the latest HiSilicon chipset Kirin 810 Entry.
The studios Honor 9X, 9X Pro and Honor Band 5 are expected to be announced on July 23 on the same stage in China.
