Oppo sub-brand Realme launched new smartphone series Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro – the latest pair of award-aggressive phones from the young company. They bring four cameras, newer, more powerful chipsets and numerous batteries. They prove that Realme is the best competitor to Xiaomi Redmi Brand with Xiaomi marketing strategy.
Realme 5
Realme 5, more affordable, with a big 6.5 inches HD + (720 x 1600 pixels) screen ratio of 20: 9 and a waterdrop Notch.
Powered by a Snapdragon 665 AIE, this is historically the second phone with 11nm chipset, but the first in India as the Xiaomi Mi A3 is not yet available on the market. On the memory side, there are three combinations: 3/32 GB, 4/64 GB, 4/128 GB.
The Realme 5 has a MicroSD card slot that has its own slot in the SIM card slot, not a hybrid layout. You can have more than 256 GB of additional storage space and double the VoLTE experience.
The new series is the first for Realme with four cameras on the back, with a 12-megapixel, ultra-wide 8MP. The other 2 camera is a 2 megapixel macro and a depth sensor.
The front camera hidden in the teardrop notch delivers still images at 13 MP.
Realme 5 is equipped with a battery of 5000 mAh, which probably accounts for a large part of its weight of 210 g. However, it has a micro USB port and does not have fast charging.
The Realme 5 is available in the colors Crystal Blue or Crystal Purple and will be available from the 27th of August on Flipkart at INR9,999
RealMe 5 Pro
This Smartphone has a smaller display than the Realme 5 but contains more powerful hardware. the realme 5 pro has a slightly smaller screen than the base model Realme 5 and is about 15% lighter. Realme 5 Pro has a 6.3 “display with 19.5: 9 format and Full HD + resolution and a smaller 4.035 mAh battery compared to its base model.
RAM and memory are also improved – we still have three options, but they are 4/64 GB, 6/64 GB, and 8/128 GB.
The Realme 5 Pro comes newly launched with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 AIE chipset, which should be a minor update compared to the Snapdragon 710, mainly on the GPU side.
The four cameras set up is identical to the Realme 5 except for the main Sony IMX586 48MP that also provides 12-megapixel photos, but with much better quality. The selfie launcher is another improvement over the normal one with a 16-megapixel sensor with HDR and EIS.
The battery is supplied with the VOOC 3.0 20W fast charging stand and charged via a USB-C port. There is also an AI Freezer feature that examines your habits and adjusts the performance of the background application to save energy.
