Spotify now has its own lite app for users with tight data plans and limited phone storage. The Spotify Lite app consumes only 10MB (compared to 100MB of the default application) and allows you to monitor and limit the amount of mobile data it consumes.
Lite supports free accounts and premium accounts. It includes standard features such as searching for artists, finding new music, and supporting playlists.
Targeting evolving markets, the Light app is being launched in 36 countries in Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. Europe and the United States have no application at the beginning.
